Business Johnson. If you were with the fellas and it was your turn to tell a joke on the afternoon porch and you had seven minutes, which would you tell? How would you deliver it? And who would you handpick to be the fellas
with you on that porch that can only add to the delivery and the funniness of it all? What would Richard Pryor do? Business Johnson is a short film featuring the comedic talents of urban comic legends Alonzo Bodden (The
Tonight Show, Last Comic Standing), Larry B. Scott (Revenge of the Nerds, Space Camp), Rodney Perry (Def Comedy Jam, Johnson Family Vacation), and Jerod Mixon (Me, Myself & Irene, The Cookout). The film highlights six unlikely friends,
hanging on the porch, telling stories. 2007 Screenings: San Diego Black Film Festival, Arizona Black Film Showcase, World of Comedy Film Festival, CineVegas, Hollywood Black Film Festival, Breckenridge Film Festival, San Francisco Black Film Festival, ReelheART Film Festival, Just For Laughs, and Martha's Vineyard African American Film Festival
Before the Music Dies, narrated by 2007 Academy Award Winner Forest Whitaker, explores the current state of the music industry from the perspective of the music fan. Fans are facing a world where advanced
technology has made it easier and cheaper to produce and distribute music independently, but radio has become increasingly controlled by a few media conglomerates that mainly support "pop" acts that generate big profits. The film features
interviews with a truly diverse group of artists, ranging from Dave Matthews, Erykah Badu and Branford Marsalis to Seattle street performers, Mississippi gospel singers, and the North Mississippi Allstars, as they discuss the divisions
between homogeneous corporate music and independently produced, artistic endeavors. 2007 Screenings: Well over 300 combined scheduled and screened, visit www.BeforeTheMusicDies.com for more.
